Ms. Margaret Coughtrie serves as a senior equity analyst and institutional liaison for SIPCO, a subsidiary institutional management firm of Strategic Investment Partners LLC.  She currently assists in the management of SIPCO's U.S. Growth and Value Leaders portfolios and is the firm's South Florida contact for our institutional clients and pension consultants.   She is also a member of the firm's investment committee.

Education

• M.A. (honors) in Economics from Edinburgh University;

• MBA and Post-Graduate Diploma in Accounting from Strathclyde University in Glasgow.   

Background

Prior to joining SIPCO, Ms Coughtrie was one of the principals of Deco Capital, and managed the long/short equity fund known as Boadicea.  Prior to her position with Deco,  she was an international portfolio manager at one of Canada's largest institutions, CDP Global Asset Management, where she managed $1.5 Billion in assets.  She has prior experience with Allied Dunbar Asset Management and Prudential Portfolio Managers in London.
